Share your knowledge and love of learning by volunteering at Storrowton Village Museum! The Village is seeking volunteers for its various programs and events, including the 2022 Big E that takes place Sept. 16-Oct. 2.

Storrowton volunteers are a vital component in helping share the Village’s 19th Century New England collections, exhibitions, research, and educational programming with the public. The Village always has an eye out for dynamic, curious individuals ages 14 and up who want to be a part of the Storrowton team.

Each year, more than 100 costumed volunteers donate their time to our museum. With guidance from staff experts, our volunteers lead tours, offer fun hands-on activities, demonstrate trades and crafts, and more. In this role, you’ll meet people of all ages and help create an experience to remember for visitors from modern day New England and beyond.

We invite you to explore our many volunteer opportunities and discover the right on for you:
● Docent Programs
● Education and Outreach Programs
● Blacksmithing
● Cooking & Crafts
● Gardening

Individuals interested in volunteering during the 2022 Big E must apply by August 15. Morning, afternoon, and evening shifts will be available for volunteers. Costumes, parking, and admission will be provided for those shifts, along with a 25% discount in The Shops at Storrowton.

All Big E Volunteers will be required to attend three training sessions in August.

Following the Fair, volunteers are invited to continue with us at special monthly events or to help facilitate educational programs. Teen volunteers will be able to earn community service hours and engage in future Teen Leadership Experience program offerings.

To join Storrowton’s volunteer team, please complete the online application at https://www.storrowtonvillage.com/p/visit/volunteer or Contact Adult Education Coordinator, Samantha DePergola at SDePergola@thebige.com for more information.
