Ladies it is time to say “buh-bye” to that unflattering sweater and hello to sassy blazers, cropped jackets and the classic cardigan with a twist!

We are all guilty of wearing that grandma sweater, one too many times in public and even in the work place. As difficulty as it may be to say good bye, to your beloved item of clothing, it is time to let go!

You can replace your favorite sweater with a sassy silk or cotton blazer. Adding a more structured piece to your ensemble with give you a more professional vibe and show off those “oh-so-sassy” curves!

Not the blazer type? Add a cropped jean, leather or light-weight cotton jacket to your ensemble. Again it will add structure and the mix of textures/fabric will only make your look sassier!

Now for the real challenge, finding cardigans that are not BORING!

The trick is steering away from those basic colors of black, grey and beige. Try to find cardigans with great patterns, such as stripes, floral prints or polka dots. If patterns are not your thing, aim to find cardigans with subtle detailing. Details could range from, unique buttons, a lace back or sleeve lengths.

Groupon & Living Social.com! Ladies, plan those weekend get-a-ways with online coupon websites, such as, LivingSocial.com and Groupon.com. You can save thousands!

Okay, all you sassy gals! We all have that one friend that always seems to disappear once they have a boyfriend and when things begin to go awry they somehow wiggle their way back into your life. Sound familiar?

So how do you stop yourself, from becoming one of those girls?!

We all know what it is like to be in love-there is no one else that you’d rather be with, right? You want to spend all of your time with them, right? But, have they been with you through thick and thin? Have they helped you through those past break-ups?

To say it is important to maintain a relationship with your gal pals while in a relationship is an understatement.

You need to be your own person. So how do you balance it? Easy. Make yourself have one night a week dedicated to just you and your friends time. NO BOYS ALLOWED. Cliché, I know. But it is effective.

On the days that you don’t see your girlfriends, shoot them a text, give them a quick call or even send them an email. It is reassuring to your friends to know that you care about more than just your man.

What do you do to balance?

-Sassy Gal

Okay all my sassy young careerists, how do you prove to your boss that you are “employee or the month” material?

There is fine line between being a hard worker and brown-noser (and remember NO ONE like a brown-noser).

This sassy gal is urging you to “pump yourself up”. Be the best you can be! Why-So that you can get that promotion, that raise or that referral that will get you where you would like to go career wise.

Regardless of what your job may be, it is always important to do the best you can, because lets face it- you never know who you may meet!

So how can you prove yourself? Follow these easy tips and you will be on your way to the top in no time!

Check your work email at night. If you respond/email your boss past regular business hours, it will show that you are dedicated your job and driven.

Stay late every now and then. Staying late not your thing? Then come in early, and to make sure your boss knows you are coming in early-shoot him an email! Even if it’s something that can wait. He’ll see the email and the time and it will certainly make you look good!

Dress for Success. If you want to be taken seriously, then you must dress and act professionally! No cleavage, mini-skirts or pumps allowed ladies!

Share your tips!
