Is your New Year’s resolution to lose weight, “get in shape”, to save money or all of the above? Well Sassy Gal’s this gal is urging you to consider another resolution-to donate more of your time.

I could list a million things taking place in this world that we can help change for the better. We just need to find the self-motivation to help contribute to that change.

As Gandhi once said, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

How can you be the change?

Below are just a handful of ideas of how you can help change the world!

  • Recycle!
  • I know that the weather is getting quite nippy, but try walking to the places you can-especially when the weather gets warmer
  • Donate you clothes! Clean out the clothes you no longer fit into and donate them!
  • Donate your canned food that you’ll never use! Buy too many cans of cranberry sauce or corn this Thanksgiving? Donate them to your local homeless shelter!
  • Take the initiative to start a canned food drive at your place of work or neighborhood.

Holiday Wardrobe Woes?

December 23rd, 2011

Can you believe it Sassy Gals, Christmas Eve is tomorrow! Where did this past year go? Tomorrow is that wonderful and Sunday are those wonderful days where you see those relatives you typically only see once a year. What will you wear?

Let’s be honest ladies, you know you want everyone to be thinking how good you look! So let’s make sure you look your best!

What look are you going for, Holiday festive? Dressing up? Dressing down? The choices are endless! Below are some solutions to your wardrobe woes!

Is Holiday festive the look you’re going for? Opaque tights are the rage, why not pop on over to your local Marshalls, TJMaxx or Target and invest in a pair of sweater tights. Pair those with a fab emerald, red or sapphire dress and you can call it a day. Need another option? Try dark skinny jeans with an ugly holiday sweater. Be sure to sass up your hair so you look put together, but with a fun holiday twist.

If dressing up is look for you then you should most certainly invest in some skinny black dress pants or opaque tights. Black is great because it is slimming and “dressy”.  Pair those pants with a great scoop neck top and flats! Those tights can be worn with a sassy skirt or dress. Your options are endless with these two great items!

Not one for dressing up? Neither is this sassy gal, a great dress down look is skinny jeans and a sweater. Through on your fav pair of skinny jeans (no tears please!) and pair it with a sweater, cardigan or sassy top.

These looks are simple and achievable! What are some of your Holiday wardrobe tips?
