Introduction to Critter Sitterz

Critter Sitterz is a pet care provider service that I started several years ago.  My business provides service to pets in the client’s home so the family pet(s) maintain their daily routines, and are certainly more comfortable in their familiar surroundings.  My business allows me to have the flexibility to create my own schedule, travel within a radius that keeps me close to home and affords me the opportunity to be available for my children and their busy schedules. 

Another positive aspect of my job is meeting the pet owners and learning about the care of their pets, their habits, and any special needs.  I’ve taken care of different breeds of dogs, bird, cats, and on a rare occasion, a ferret!   People who book my service want the very best for their ‘family members’ and I provide that for them.

On occasion, inclement weather presents some challenges to coaching some pets outside, but most dogs love the outdoors and some enjoy walking in the rain.  Just like people, some cats are very “chatty” and love affection.  Some cats are aloof and happy that someone has put out their food and changed their water and they have a fresh litter box!

Although I have several customers that secure my service regularly, it is difficult to predict my income month to month. I do market my services thru regular local advertising, place my business cards at some local pet food suppliers and veterinarian offices.  Many of my customers come from referrals and satisfied Critter Sitterz customers. 

The pets I care for are happy to see me each and every visit and greet me at the door.  Not many people go to work everyday and have the warm welcome I receive from my clients! I’m fortunate I have a business where I can enjoy my passion for pets and get paid too!
