Annual Peter Picknelly Sr. “Women In Business” Scholarship Award

Once again the Western Mass Women Magazine is looking for Western Mass women who
are interested in re-entering the workforce, by either working for a local company or starting
their own business and need more education or specialty training.

Applicants must be non-traditional women in the Western Mass area that are attending
or have been accepted into a regional college program or a regional specialty school to further their education in their chosen field. Applicants must be a non-traditional female student 25 years of age or older and meet the above requirements.

All applications will be reviewed and will be used in the selection process by a panel of
area business women. The criteria will be based on past secondary or current educational
grades, financial need, region of interest, community involvement and other areas based on the applicants referrals.

Applications are now available at all area colleges and specialty schools, or by calling the

Deadline for completed applications is September 15th 2012.

Scholarship award winner will be announced in October at the annual “Top 25 Women To Watch” 2012 – 2013 dinner sponsored by Western Mass Women Magazine.

The Peter Picknelly Sr. “Women in Business” scholarship award was originally started by Mr. Picknelly Sr. and Ms. Ferrero for their strong belief and support of area business women to present good business sense, quality and value in their products & services, and their commitment to the communities of Western Mass.
